St. Andrew's Church School serves pre-school through high school in two classes: preschool through primary and 6th through 12th grade. The program operates from September through June and provides Christian education and formation for the younger members of our parish family by incorporating prayer, crafts, and Bible stories into our lesson plans. Classes start at 9:45 AM and at 10:30 AM the children join their families in the sanctuary for the Eucharist.

The Sunday School program at St. Andrew's is committed to the belief that parents are the primary faith educators of their own children and that parish programs support and enable to fulfill their primary role. We believe that parents have an obligation to support their children’s religious education and formation by encouraging church school attendance and participation in weekly worship.

The format of the Church School is dependent on the number of children enrolled during the year. It is therefore important for parents to ensure that their children are in church. At the end of the year students are given a Certificate of Participation that takes attendance into consideration.

Our Sunday School staff of volunteers provides religious instruction for the children. They strive to make this learning opportunity relevant and meaningful by using a lectionary-based Episcopal Curriculum. They provide a positive loving environment in which a child can learn about his/her faith, find friends and have fun.
Once a month the 10 AM Eucharist is celebrated using a child-friendly and child-accessible liturgical form. At this Eucharist the sermon is directed toward the children and the adults are invited to listen in.
